I don't know if that'll make a link bc I have no idea how substack works, but thats my favorite poem written about me. I wasn't happy when it was written, my ex (who broke up with me on her birthday the morning after I threw her a party) posted that to MY subreddit on MY birthday a few months later lol
What's your favorite poem someone wrote about you?
No one ever has, what about you?

I find that hard to believe. So hard, in fact, I wrote a poem specifically for you, despite knowing nothing about you :)
There's so many ways to write poems.
Pen to paper, fingers to touchscreen,
Lines in the sand on a beach,
Typewriters.
.
Flirty texts, risqué snaps,
Awkwardly holding hands,
And even worse first kisses;
Unsure of who's going to
Lean in first.
.
Morning breath, legs tangled,
Too hot, blankets off,
Afternoon naps, the dog is snoring,
A finger traces the words
"I love you"
On your back while you sleep.
.
Drunken texts, reddit posts,
Accidentally calling someone else your name,
Panic attacks at work when someone
Wears the same perfume,
More drunk texts.
.
Loneliness, isolation,
Rock bottom, desperation,
Six month long depression,
Therapy, recovery,
Nights out with friends for
The first time in years,
Watching the sun rise
When bedtime was hours ago.
(I did not proofread this at all so forgive me)
Wow that is very impressive for a poem that wasn’t proof read, it captures all the specific details of heartbreak, it’s great
